St. Joseph Central Catholic High School believes in educating the body, mind and spirit. Athletics is an extension of the classroom, and is reflective of our school mission. Participation in athletics teaches our students discipline, teamwork, competition and structure. Approximately 75% of our students participate in one sport each year, and 80% of those students participate in multiple sports throughout the year.
We are home to the 2005 West Virginia Class AA-A Boys Tennis State Champions, 1988 State Boys Soccer Champions and the 2003 West Virginia Class A State Softball Champion. Our student athletics are competitive in all sports, and continue to show the Christian values taught in our halls.
St. Joseph is a member of the West Virginia Secondary Schools Activities Commission (WVSSAC), and is governed by the rules and regulations set forth by the WVSSAC. We currently offer the following sports:
