Saint Joseph Catholic High School offers a curriculum designed to prepare students to continue formal studies beyond high school graduation. Rigorous academic requirements, along with a substantial range of electives, provide students with choices and a well-rounded academic program in preparation for high level learning. In keeping with the school's vision, every effort is made to infuse the curricula with Christian principles and values. Academic success is a composite of many factors; i.e., personal motivation, parental involvement, study skills, a desire to succeed, respect for all members of the family and community, a respectful attitude for the learning environment, and a proper and respectful attitude for Christian beliefs and teachings. Saint Joseph Catholic High School accepts those students who desire to take advantage of its programs and meet their responsibilities as members of its student body.

Curriculum

Core and Elective Courses	Our set of core courses cover subjects in mathematics, science, language arts and social studies.  We also offer many elective courses in areas such as foreign languages, technology and the arts.
Honors Courses:	Our Honors/AP courses are particularly beneficial for college-bound students, or any ambitious student who wishes to demonstrate mastery in a specific subject area.
College Courses:	Our college courses offer the opportunity for students to simultaneously earn their high school and college credit.

 

 

Preparing for Graduation and Beyond:

To make sure that our graduating class of seniors are well-prepared for the transition out of high school, St. Joseph provides:

• Access to a full-time, certified school counselor
• Assistance creating a four-year academic plan
• College and career planning, including:
  • Guidance in finding appropriate college or career opportunities
  • College application process, including information on in and out of state colleges/universities
  • Financial aid and scholarship workshops (JR and SR information nights)
    
  • Access to college admissions test preparation courses and information about test dates, locations, etc.
  • Official transcripts
