 Student of the Month

Starting October 2008, each month teachers will submit nominations for the "Student of the Month."  The students are nominated based on honor, scholarship and service. Each month there will be a middle school and high school student elected. Read below to see why each student was nominated.  Congratulations to everyone.

November 2008 Nominations:  

High School: 

Jacob Blevins: Jacob works very well in class and is successful.  he takes pride in his accomplishments. Also, he is always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. Jacob has been a strong student from the beginning of the year.  He shows interest in class, always asking questions and actively participating.  He also hands in his work on time.

Gina Lancianese: Gina has shown great leadership this year.  She is always actively participating in class and helping others.

Kendall Kuhn: Kendall ahs volunteered her time after school to tutor others.  She is patient and kind.

James Harper: He is always willing to do anything extra to help out teachers and other students without being asked by others.  He is respectful, nice, friendly, courteous to both students and teachers.  

Ferin Neff: Ferin has been extermely helpful with Jr. Honor Society this year.  She has tried to set up a program and has made numerous phone calls and stays in contact with officers and members about the projects.

Jimmy Stamm: Jimmy has had an amazing turn-around on his attitude and work ethic since first quarter.  He is prompt, completes his assignments to the best of his ability and is always trying to be active in class discussion.  He did none of this in the first quarter.  Instead of being a disciplinary problem, he is a joy to have every day.

Maria Phillips: Maria is always on task and does her best to succeed.  She is always pleasant and an asset to the classroom setting.  All-in-all she is a fine student.

Katie Barry: Katie is friendly, compassionate and presents herself as a role model.

Olivia Falvo: Olivia is one of the most improved students this year.  She is completing all her homework and participating regulary in class.  Her teacher is proud of how hard she is working this year.

Rob Anderson: He is always willing to lend a hand when help is needed.  whether in sports, music ministry or just around the school, Rob is often seen lifting, hauling and running errands for people because they know he will cheerfully help out wherever he can. 

 

Middle School: 

Stephen Jenkins: He is always conscientious about getting his work completed correctly and on time.  He is always respectful and enthusiastic in class.

Luke Browning: He is a very hardworking student.  He is polite and helpful at all times.  He is an excellent student to have in class.

Taylor Reynolds: He is always polite nd ready to do whatever is asked of him.  His honesty and ready smile make him a joy in the classroom.

Catherine Wippel:  She is a hard worker, friendly and very helpful.

Lauren Ballejos: She is an excellent student, very attentive and open to instruction.  She goes out of her way to be helpful and a good citizen.

Nick Lorenza: Nick is always helping faculty and students.  he does this without question, cheerfully and is very polite to all.

Dominique Neff: She always participates and is a leader in classroom discussions and projects.  She is respectful, courteous and friendly to other classmates and teachers.

Griffin Dempsey:  She stands up for what she believes in, even when it would be easier to go along with the crowd.

 

 

 

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR November 2008 Winners:

Jacob was chosen by two nominations.  Since all nominations were different and well deserving for the middle school, the winner was chosen by random drawing.
